Radio

It's the early hours of the morning (6:31am to be exact) and i've just spent most of the night browsing the wired. As is usual, I found a few interesting threads to pull (that i'll no doubt lose interest in when i'm not as tired). The main thing this time was the world of amateur radio, probably spurred on by a recent aliexpress binge (thanks csg wikis). It seems to scratch the same curious itch as IRC in that it's a communication network just out of view from a typical user. I'm pretty content with scanning through stations on various web controlled SDR sites, and not broadcasting anything myself. Not that I feel knowledgable enough to dodge unlicensed broadcast detection, or whatever systems they have in place, anyway. Maybe i'll get a software controller radio rig and shove an antenna out the window or something. Or just get a baofeng and mess around with that.
